Job Description
As Chief Operating Officer, the responsibilities will include:
- Lead all operational functions including customer delivery, support, field operations, logistics, and network operations.
- Drive improvements in customer experience, SLA performance, and operational KPIs.
- Build scalable, standardised processes and implement 24/7 proactive support capabilities.
- Develop and mentor operational leaders, fostering a high-performance, customer-first culture.
- Oversee large and complex project delivery, systems optimisation, and geographic expansion.
- Partner with Sales to ensure operational excellence supports growth and customer trust.
- Lead M&A integration.
- Align operations to ensure scalability and EBITDA growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Chief Operating Officer should have:
- Proven track record as COO or Operations Director in telecoms, network services, or MSP.
- Experience leading large operational teams (100+ staff).
- Deep understanding of network services and managed service delivery.
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations and leading transformation.
- A background delivering complex projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
- Skilled in process design, automation, and performance management.
- Experience in PE-backed businesses, preferably with exit experience.
- An understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry.
- Has an ability to report to their Manchester office weekly.
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
