The Mission: Help a City Hear the Gospel
At Together for Sheffield, Arise is one of our boldest and most impactful initiatives. It brings together churches, charities and individuals to pray, act and share good news across the city. From Arise:March to Arise:Advent, from the Arise Magazine to monthly Sheffield Leaders in Prayer, we are catalysing grassroots mission and big-picture change. But none of that happens without clear communication and engaging events. That’s where you come in.
The Role: Be the Voice and the Connector
You’ll take the lead on all things communications and events, driving awareness, deepening engagement, and growing a network of people committed to spiritual and social transformation in Sheffield. You’ll work with our CEO and core team to:
- Shape and lead our comms strategy
- Manage social media, websites, emails and campaigns
- Deliver inspiring events that unite and equip the church
- Oversee the Arise magazine and grow our reach
- Build systems, manage contractors, and tell great stories
You won’t just be ticking boxes. You’ll be:
- Telling stories that spark courage and connection
- Hosting spaces where mission-minded people come alive
- Helping Sheffield look more like the Kingdom of God

We’re looking for someone who is:
- A natural communicator with strong visual and written skills
- Skilled in Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp, and social platforms
- Passionate about unity, faith, and community impact
- Energised by making things happen, both online and in person
- A problem-solver who sees the big picture and the tiny detail
- Experienced in leading projects, teams/contractors and creative workflows
The Offer: A Place to Make a Difference
