Amentum is a global engineering and technical services company. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Hinkley Point C (HPC) site, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract or package.
- Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised, develop and update the programme budget, and escalate issues to the Senior Project Manager.
- Undertake contract administration activities with support of a Commercial Manager, including variations, claims, technical queries and instructions.
- Oversee Tier 1’s supply chain to ensure Nuclear Safety is maintained, including oversight of >100 Tier 2 and Tier 3 international suppliers per contract.
- Resolve issues such as NCRs during the manufacturing process to maintain quality and schedule.
- Manage all changes to the contract, including scope definition, business justification and implementation in line with governance.
- Ensure level‑3 schedules are developed and maintained and align with overall project schedules.
- Where applicable, ensure qualification for Nuclear Safety activities is completed to validate equipment performance criteria.
- Coordinate with HPC Site team to ensure all pre‑shipping activities are complete for seamless delivery.
- Assist in securing required resources, maintain SQEP for assigned resources, and address personnel shortfalls.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and other commercial reporting requirements.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Track record of delivering projects in a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
- Experience engaging stakeholder groups, strong management skills in project, financial, change management and facilitation.
- Proficient in estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and advisors on large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
- Strong safety, security, and environmental responsibility focus.
