Location: Newcastle, Glasgow, Warrington, Gloucester, Bristol or Knutsford, UK (flexible options available).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop fire safety strategies to meet Building Regulations and fire safety legislation.
- Provide design solutions covering means and escape, detection and alarm, structural fire protection, suppression, and firefighting access.
- Conduct conventional fire assessments / fire risk assessments and support ALARP demonstrations.
- Perform fire modelling using empirical hand calculations and software (e.g., CFAST, CFD).
Education, Experience & Skills
- STEM degree (desirable but not essential).
- Membership with recognised institution such as the Institution of Fire Engineers (desirable but not essential).
- Fire safety engineering experience covering key responsibilities.
- Experience with prescriptive codes (e.g., ADIB, BS 9999).
- Experience in fire modelling for performance‑based solutions (desirable).
