About the Opportunity: This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects for Sellafield. The Senior EC&I Engineer will support the team in the Cumbria office.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering CE&I design solutions in response to problem definitions and Project Functional Specifications from the client.
  • Working within the current CE&I design team to deliver CE&I design against the schedule and support meeting key delivery milestones.
  • Supporting plant configuration walk‑downs to confirm and accurately record task baseline details, or the production of outline design schemes.
  • Attending design reviews to support the RE in presentation of design documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven EC&I design experience, capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings, and supporting calculations.
  • Knowledge and experience of producing both Instrumentation and Electrical designs.
  • Understanding of the roles and application of the CDM regulations.
  • Previous experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Production of design drawings in AutoCAD.

Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with several years of design delivery experience, OR other qualification such as BTEC, HNC, or HND with extensive design delivery experience.
