We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Temporary role – Weekly paid – Fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to resolve technical issues.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting.
- CCNSG Safety Passport or Equivalent.
- Proven experience in a mechanical fitting role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
