Position Overview

Location: South England (Portsmouth focus). Hybrid working 1‑2 days in office, occasional site visits may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.
  • Build strong client relationships and support the business.
  • Produce technical designs, calculations, and reports to British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and quality systems.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with an MEng background.
  • Working towards Chartered status.
  • Broad experience in civil engineering design and construction.
  • Proven heavy civil experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in structural and maritime design or similar industry experience.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets.
  • Must be a UK National and able to obtain SC‑level security clearance.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with PIANC guidance and seismic design.
  • Experience with BIM, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, LUSAS, WALLAP, PLAXIS 2D.
  • Background in the nuclear industry and safety case documentation.
