About the Opportunity

The role is within the Commercial function at Amentum’s Hinkley Point C project (Bridgwater, Somerset). The successful candidate will support the multi‑million pound framework contract and collaborate with project delivery and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Commercial Manager and Project Controls team to deliver the commercial function of the framework.
  • Develop working relationships with Amentum, client and subcontractor teams to deliver contract requirements.
  • Execute NEC3 contract activities—including payment applications, pricing tracking, change implementation, drafting early warnings.
  • Gather evidence for main contract applications and fulfil contract audit requirements.
  • Support Project Controls and Cost Engineers by submitting cost reports, providing data for cost forecasts, revenue, and gross margin assumptions.
  • Ensure subcontract arrangements are in place using NEC suite documents; manage subcontractor contract processes, change controls, early warnings, compensation events, scope changes and payments.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related subject.
  • Previous experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Contract Management.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, ideally with NEC forms of contract.
  • Highly organised and detail‑oriented.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Hands‑on, can‑do attitude; capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • Local availability or willingness to be based on site.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT competence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Security cleared or ability to obtain necessary clearance.

Estimated work location: Hinkley Point C. Hybrid working arrangements may be available to support the role.
