Senior Civil Engineer – Nuclear Power

Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of technical deliverables, both pre‑ and post‑signature of the contract. This includes ensuring alignment with SZC replication principles, overseeing technical submissions, and acting as the primary technical point of contact between the L3 Detailer and the SZC PM.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Lead Technical Authority for the L3 detailing contract.
  • Provide technical oversight, coordination, and ensure technical surveillance of all L3 detailer submissions is performed by technical leads.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with SZC standards and replication principles.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all technical matters between L3 Detailer and SZC PM.
  • Manage the L3 design process across all gateway review phases (GR0 to GRD), including:
    • GR0 to GRB: Information transfer from HPC GRB to GRC.
    • GRC: Collaborative design development.
    • GRC to GRD: Support technical queries during modelling.
  • Chair and lead CIHP, GRC, and GRD review meetings.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure technical consistency and compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate technical leads in the surveillance and review of key deliverables.

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Experience on civil detailing engineering.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector (advantageous).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the codes & standards on CW and of engineering & design processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, particularly in managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Proven ability to manage complex interfaces and resolve technical conflicts.
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, replication principles, and configuration management.
