Amentum Technology with its Independent Assurance and Regulations team is looking for a talented and enthusiastic portfolio scheduler eager to cement existing project delivery expertise and encourage business growth in the sector.

Location: Hybrid working with travel to Abbey Wood, Bristol (approximately three times per week). Part‑time and flexible arrangements may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain portfolio‑level schedules using Primavera P6, aligning with programme objectives and timelines across multiple projects.
  • Create and manage schedule baselines, controlling all changes through baseline change control processes.
  • Update live schedules regularly to reflect the latest project and portfolio status.
  • Conduct schedule variance reporting to identify deviations from the baseline and provide insights into potential impacts at both project and portfolio levels.
  • Perform critical path analysis to identify key milestones and activities that may impact delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with resource availability.
  • Provide regular schedule updates and reports to stakeholders, communicating progress and schedule risks.
  • Support the integration of schedules with other portfolio management tools and processes as required.
  • Report to the Change Programme Manager and provide regular updates on schedule status, risks, and issues; participate in project and portfolio‑level meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Primavera P6 planner, able to create, manage and analyse complex schedules at both project and portfolio levels.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of schedule baseline creation and management, including baseline change control processes.
  • Experience maintaining live schedules and ensuring accuracy.
  • Proficiency in schedule variance reporting and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Visio for process mapping and diagram creation.
  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Microsoft Planner for task and project tracking.
