Reports directly to the Piping Manufacture Lead and provides comprehensive engineering support for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power plant project, focusing on managing technical queries, change management, and ensuring the timely delivery of engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering (technical) support to the Package Project Management team, attending weekly and monthly PM meetings.
  • Collate and maintain a support tracker to record support book releases and design holds at HO2, through to manufacturing completion at HO3.
  • Manage the change‑management process for design updates post‑HO2 and pre‑HO3.
  • Lead the Technical Query (TQ) process for the package, chairing regular TQ meetings with stakeholders and facilitating responses from responsible departments.
  • Ensure CEMAR is maintained to reflect TQ progress and resolutions.
  • Manage engineering input to HO3 requirements.
  • Provide technical input into HO1‑HO2 constructability issues as required.

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Track record of working on projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally in the nuclear energy sector or a similar regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a relevant technical discipline within pipework manufacturing, construction or management.
  • Proven ability to deliver engineering safely, of the required quality, on time and within budget in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment.
  • Experience engaging, managing and influencing stakeholder groups and facilitating issue resolution.
  • Strong presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
  • Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.
