About the Opportunity
As an AI Consultant, you will join a growing Digital and Data Solutions team focused on developing practical, scalable AI and data‑driven services across the business.
This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a consultancy environment, working directly with stakeholders and clients to identify opportunities, shape propositions, define use cases and support delivery from strategy through to implementation.
You will play an important role in helping establish and mature Amentum’s AI service offering.
This includes developing repeatable approaches, supporting go‑to‑market activity, shaping client conversations, contributing to proposals and helping translate emerging AI capability into commercially viable services.
The role is consultative, client‑facing and delivery‑focused.
You will work across the full lifecycle, from problem definition, discovery and strategy through to solution design, implementation support and benefits realisation.
You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of work, including AI strategy development, data maturity assessments, automation, knowledge solutions, predictive analytics and AI‑enabled transformation.
Responsibilities
Co‑ordinate and execute projects spanning strategy, design, implementation and benefits realisation.
Engage with stakeholders and clients to identify opportunities, shape propositions, define use cases and support delivery from strategy through to implementation.
Provide consultative, client‑facing, delivery‑focused support.
Contribute to a diverse portfolio of work, including AI strategy development, data maturity assessments, automation, knowledge solutions, predictive analytics and AI‑enabled transformation.
- Here’s What You’ll Need
- A strong consulting background, ideally gained within a consultancy, professional services or client‑facing advisory environment.
- Experience helping build, establish or scale a new service line, capability, proposition or consulting offering.
- Experience delivering digital transformation, data, analytics, automation or AI‑related projects.
- Strong stakeholder and client engagement skills, with the ability to understand complex challenges and translate them into structured solutions.
- Commercial awareness, including experience supporting proposals, client conversations, opportunity shaping or business development activity.
- Confidence working across both strategy and delivery, from early‑stage discovery through to implementation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
- An understanding of AI, data and analytics concepts, with the ability to explain them clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work with technical teams and business stakeholders to shape practical, outcome‑focused solutions.
