Project Manager for Retail Stores Refurb
Our client, a well established and reputable commercial contractor, is looking for a project manager with retail, commercial and shopfront refurb and fit-out experience to oversee a series of 8 week refurbishments around Cambridge, Kent and Suffolk. Based in Bury St Edmunds HO when not needed on site. You must have SMSTS and First Aid to start this role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring site management teams adhere to schedules, quality, and health & safety.
- Attend project meetings and produce reports.
- Attend meetings with designers, specialist contractors and internal teams.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Review, assess and select mechanical sub-contractors.
- On-site review and management of installation to ensure contract compliance.
- Ensure health and safety policy is adhered to during the project duration.
- Maintain client-facing communication, hold progress meetings, and review processes to ensure phases are handed over on time and within budget.
Qualifications & Requirements
- SMSTS and First Aid required to start.
- Extensive experience in the retail, commercial, and shopfront refurb and fit-out sector.
- Client-facing with ability to manage progress meetings and reviews.
- Available for immediate start from March.
Details
- Schedule: 5 days on site and in the office in between projects.
- Location: Cambridge, Kent and Suffolk; based in Bury St Edmunds when not on site.
- Salary: up to £70k negotiable plus package and car depending on experience.
- Travel expenses and hotels paid where applicable.
- Projects: series of 8 week refurbishments.
