Read the Drawings

Since reading drawings is a key part of the role, practice explaining how you interpret technical drawings. You might even want to bring a few examples from past jobs to discuss during the interview. This will demonstrate your ability to work independently and understand project requirements.

Show Your Initiative

Prepare examples of times when you’ve had to work on your own initiative. Employers love candidates who can think on their feet and solve problems without constant supervision. Think of specific situations where you took charge and made a positive impact.
