We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to oversee 2 Kent projects with a well established construction firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional individual to become established within a highly regarded construction client based in London but working around Kent. Site and or office based 5 days a week but expected to attend head office meetings as well.

The QS role includes:

  • Produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value
  • Preparing tender packages for main contractor and subcontract works
  • Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget
  • Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer in a timely manner
  • Ensure that each sub-contractor's account is managed strictly in accordance with their terms and conditions
  • Vetting tenders
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes relating to outstanding payments to subcontractors and creditors
  • Producing monthly contract reports detailing current status of the contracts, including cash flow forecasts and liabilities
  • Provide input in construction project commercial/legal/strategic meetings

Candidates must have:

  • A full or new QS accredited qualification
  • Experience in Buying or Quantity Surveying related to construction
  • Experience in administering main contractor or client accounts to final agreement
