Residential & Commercial Construction Buyer\\n\\nWe are currently looking for a construction Buyer for a well established residential and commercial contractor, based in Victoria London but working on sites in Kent. Working Monday to Friday for £45-55k depending on experience. \\n\\nReporting directly to the Pre-Contracts Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor the Buyer will have the opportunity of overseeing the procurement of all materials on secured projects.

You must have great communication skills and be able to provide the site teams with the relevant information when asked.\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\nBe a good team player.\\nHave a polite telephone manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\\nHave a flexible approach and adapt to change.\\nBe driven to deliver high quality work and succeed.\\nHave a strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.\\nBe confident and willing to use your initiative. \\n\\nTechnical Skills \\n\\nIdeally proven experience within the construction or housing industry and experience of working in a fast-paced project environment within the building sector.\\n2+ years of experience working with construction contracting sector.\\nGood general education – minimum of A Levels, on site installation experience or on the job experience within a buying/selling capacity. I.e.

Wholesaler\\nBe a competent user of Microsoft packages Excel and Outlook. \\n\\nJob Overview\\n\\nDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best price and terms for goods and services\\nEnsuring procuring of materials Is within budgets and given timescale in order to progress works on site.\\nManage the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products\\nIdentifying potential new suppliers \\nResolving disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company.\\nCreating, Maintaining and Updating overall company documentations, specifically call off schedules and procurement schedules.\\nMaintain Order of the Shared Email Inbox \\nProcess orders using correct product codes in Sage and send to relevant vendors \\nObtain quotes for day to day and bespoke items or client specific products \\nCheck Order Value approval required and obtain where required \\nPurchase from preferred suppliers, being mindful of supplier rebates \\nDistribute Orders to relevant vendors \\nTrack Orders and delivery confirmation \\nResolve invoice problems \\nSupport Commercial & Estimating teams with general material costs and supplier details as requestedImmediate start available please send a CV or call padstone Recruitment on (phone number removed)
