Padstone Recruitment is currently recruiting for Fire Alarm Engineers for our commercial client in the Kent/Ashford area.
Key Responsibilities:
- To install, commission, service and fault find the fire systems on customer premises.
- Awareness and Compliance with code of practice and industry regulations.
- Ensure wiring duties meet with BS 5839 Part 1, Part 6 and BS 7671 (wiring regulations).
- Ensure all fire alarm systems are BAFE compliant.
- Installation of wired and wireless fire alarm systems, in line with specification, drawings and current regulations.
- Programming of systems to ensure fully operational.
- Fault diagnosis of existing systems where testing of electrical connections will be required.
- Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements as detailed within the health and safety management system, risk assessments and method statements.
- Use of mobile device to receive, update and communicate all tasks assigned to job holder.
- Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times and in line with company fleet requirements.
- Wear and maintain all issued uniform clothing ensuring that it is clean and presentable at all times.
- Attend all mandatory training (Health & Safety, Fire, Asbestos, Working at Height etc) that has been arranged.
- Be responsible for keeping updated on changes in industry for working with electricity to maintain competence.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and third parties at all times and undertake all tasks as appropriate.
- To work at all times in accordance with company policies, procedures and ethos.
Hours: 45 hours per week. Overtime available if desired. Site-based (predominantly East Kent).
