We are looking for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to oversee the Company's ecommerce sales and online presence. You will be responsible for the research and development of new online marketing strategies, decision‐making for the website and online advertising, and for managing and developing the ecommerce function. You will report directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Website design and management
- Research and development
- Supervision, hiring and training
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Project development and presentation
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Generate and update website marketing content including content and promotions
- Work with agencies to build traffic and sales via the website (PPC agency, email marketing provider, ecommerce provider, hosting etc)
- Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
- Maintain and update the online marketing plan for the website
- Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them
Marketing:
- Identify and evaluate new marketing opportunities to increase website traffic and online sales
- Understand and develop sources of traffic including email, SEO, PPC, affiliates, social media and catalogues
- Investigate, evaluate and assess new ways of generating additional traffic and orders
- Produce reports to analyse the performance of all online marketing campaigns and promotions via analytics and surveys
- Build customer database and improve online conversion rates including upselling, CRM and retargeting
- Manage digital marketing relationships and strive to achieve high ROI on all marketing campaigns
Measurement:
- Financial planning and preparing of budgets
- Report on and meet or exceed all agreed performance objectives including sales, conversions and engagement
- Drive continuous improvement of customer satisfaction
Website:
- Determine the website format and interact with web developers to design or implement changes accordingly
- Ensure that the appearance and functionality of the ecommerce element of the website is maintained to a continuously high standard
- Update promotional content on the website including banners, images and copy
- Manage website configuration and parameters including payment options, stock management and platform integrations
- Investigate and report any operational or technical issues arising
- Scope, document, test and deploy ongoing website functional projects and improvements
- Evaluate approaches and strategies to improve website sales conversions and customer engagement
- Define and source ecommerce plug‐ins and apps to enhance the performance of the ecommerce site
Management:
- Manage the ecommerce department and delegate tasks accordingly
- Provide necessary training to newly joined team members and allocate work accordingly
- Develop and manage staff KPIs and deliverables
- Undertake interviewing processes and recruit new ecommerce staff when required

What we offer:
- £35,000 – £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
