Aquanaut Scuba, a family-run PADI 5* Instructor Development Centre with over 20 years of excellence, is seeking a passionate and motivated Centre Assistant to join our dynamic team. This exciting role spans our Kingston and West Norwood retail stores, our training pool, and service centre, offering a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment at the heart of the scuba and snorkelling community.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Engagement: Assist customers with retail sales of scuba and snorkelling equipment, process bookings for PADI training courses and equipment servicing, and handle in-store air fills (with the opportunity to train in gas blending).
- Retail Operations: Manage stock, maintain shop presentation, and ensure a welcoming environment for our diverse clientele.
- Training Support: Organise training evenings and weekends, including preparing dive kits, completing paperwork, and coordinating logistics.
- Optional Teaching Role: For candidates who are in-status PADI Instructors with a valid HSE medical, there’s the chance to deliver PADI courses and inspire the next generation of divers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Enthusiasm for scuba diving, snorkelling, and marine conservation, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to thrive in a busy retail and training environment.
- Flexibility to work across our Kingston, Tolworth and West Norwood locations, with hours tailored to suit business needs.
- Preferred: A valid driver’s license and age 25+ to operate our company van (not essential).
- Bonus: PADI Instructor status with HSE medical for teaching opportunities (not required).
