We are going through an exciting period of expansion. As part of this, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in a varied, hands‑on role. This can be a part‑time or full‑time role, depending on the candidate.

The Role

We are seeking someone who thrives in a customer‑facing environment and is passionate about UK diving. This is a varied role combining retail, administration, customer service, and kit hire management, as well as supporting the continued growth of the business. You’ll also provide hands‑on dive support both in‑store and at training sessions in the pool at Thornbury Leisure Centre and at UK dive sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and offer advice on dive training and equipment.
  • Assist customers with purchases and general enquiries in-store.
  • Carry out in-store gas fills (training provided).
  • Support retail operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and customers.
  • Manage kit hire and servicing needs.
  • Assist with pool and open water training sessions when required.
  • A willingness to work weekends and some evenings.

About Yourself

  • Enthusiastic about diving and the marine environment.
  • Already a diver and familiar with diving in the UK.
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident working with customers.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Respectful and inclusive towards people of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Computer literate (comfortable using POS systems and general software).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Must be able to work in our dive shop in Henleaze, Bristol, and at Thornbury Leisure Centre.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1‑3 years PADI Divemaster or Instructor qualification (with valid medical, e.g., HSE).
  • Experience servicing dive equipment (particularly brands such as Mares, Apeks, etc.).
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Access to a vehicle.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are not currently able to support visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK.

Benefits

  • Salary based on experience.
  • Dive training opportunities: dive courses, shop systems and compressor operation.
  • Staff discounts on dive equipment and courses.
  • Access to dive trips, both local and abroad.
