PadelPlex is a new padel club group built on one idea: padel done properly. We come from a hospitality background, our first venue is launching this year, and more sites are already secured. We're opening our first site this November: multiple courts, a show court, and a clubhouse with a café/bar and changing facilities.
We're looking for a Club Manager to run it from day one - someone who treats the venue like it's theirs, knows their regulars by name, and drives real commercial performance while never losing the warmth of a proper welcome.
Role Highlights- Full ownership of Nottingham Club - P&L, team, standards and the day-to-day experience.
- Drive court utilisation and revenue, working closely with our CEO on performance.
- Build the club's community from scratch - regulars, socials, corporate days, events.
- Take on short-term oversight of our unstaffed ‘Plex Local’ sites nearby as we grow.
- Genuine progression as PadelPlex expands - including a future Area Manager route.
- Running Site One day to day - courts, café/bar, changing facilities, the lot.
- Recruiting, training and leading a team who deliver a proper welcome, every time.
- Owning court utilisation, costs and revenue against targets.
- Getting to know your regulars - names, faces, the usual booking.
- Travelling regularly to our unstaffed Plex Local sites to check standards and troubleshoot.
- Reporting to the CEO on performance, issues and opportunities.
- Experience managing a hospitality, leisure or sports venue, ideally with P&L responsibility.
- A genuine host - someone who thinks about the welcome, not just the schedule.
- Confident leading and developing a team, and happy to be hands-on when it's busy.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and any 5 days out of 7.
- Full UK driving licence and your own car - essential, for regular travel to other sites.
- Padel, tennis or racket sports experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
- £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience, plus performance bonus.
- The chance to shape a fast-growing brand from its first site.
- Staff discounts
- Real scope for progression as we open further sites across the Midlands.
