Padel Tonic is looking for a passionate and reliable freelance padel coach to help develop our growing coaching programme in Shildon, County Durham. We are a purpose-built indoor padel club with three doubles courts, two singles courts and a rapidly growing player community. This is a flexible freelance opportunity, with coaching hours shaped around club programming, player demand and the coach’s availability. It is not a full-time employed position.
The successful coach will:
- Deliver engaging individual, pair and group coaching sessions
- Coach players ranging from complete beginners to more experienced competitors
- Run introductory sessions, structured courses and player-development programmes
- Provide clear technical and tactical guidance
- Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment on court
- Support club events, social sessions and player-development initiatives
- Work with the Padel Tonic team to help shape and grow the club’s coaching programme
What we’re looking for:
- An LTA Padel Instructor Level 2 qualification or recognised international equivalent
- Padel coaching experience and a genuine passion for developing players
- Confidence delivering both individual and group sessions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, professional and dependable approach
- The ability to work independently and manage coaching bookings
- Availability during evenings and weekends, based on player demand
- Appropriate insurance and eligibility to work on a self-employed basis
- A valid first-aid qualification and DBS check would be advantageous, particularly for anyone interested in delivering junior coaching.
