# Composite CNC MachinistMcLaren RacingWoking, United KingdomPosted 6 Oct 2026## About this roleAs a Composite CNC Machinist, you will set and operate multi-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to produce carbon and metallic race car components and tooling.What You'll Do- Manufacture components accurately from supplied CAD data and engineering drawings.- Set and operate multiple multi-axis CNC machining centres to support output and effective shop utilisation.- Maintain component programme and tooling records, working with the Team Leader when support is needed.- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), workplace cleanliness, housekeeping and compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.Company DescriptionHigh performance isn't a given. It’s who we are.We are racers.Are you?QualificationsWhat You'll Bring- Proven experience as a craftsperson, including operating multi-axis machine tools and producing high-precision components.- Knowledge of Siemens 840D controls and experience machining materials including aluminium alloys, stainless steels and tool steels.- Understanding of CAM, ideally Open Mind hyperMILL, and knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE design tools are desirable.- Previous experience in pattern work and tooling, preferably within motorsport, Formula 1 or aerospace, would be beneficial.Personal AttributesYou will bring high attention to detail, clear and accurate communication, and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
