We're looking for a Production Engineer to bridge the gap between design and manufacture, ensuring our race car components can be produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and delivered at the pace required in Formula One. Based within our Production department, you'll play a key role in improving manufacturability, reducing lead times, and driving continuous improvement across our composite and metallic production operations.The RoleAs a Production Engineer, you will work closely with Design, Production and Quality teams to ensure products are designed and specified with manufacture, assembly and inspection requirements in mind. You'll lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities within your product portfolio, helping to ensure designs meet performance requirements while remaining practical, efficient and cost-effective to produce.This is a highly collaborative role where you'll influence technical decisions, support engineers with manufacturing expertise, and use production feedback to continuously improve future designs and processes.Key Responsibilities- Lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities across an agreed product portfolio.- Work with Design Engineers to improve manufacturability, assembly and inspection processes.- Embed production knowledge into the design process to improve production readiness and specification quality.- Review and analyse production feedback, including NCRs, concessions, faults and observations, ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future designs.- Maintain manufacturing specifications and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and effective revision control.- Support the reduction of manufacturing queries, specification amendments and production lead times.- Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities across production processes.What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience- Strong hands-on production and assembly experience, ideally across composite and metallic components.- Ability to read, interpret and challenge technical specifications and engineering documentation.- Sound understanding and practical application of GD&T.- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.- Experience analysing manufacturing or production performance data to drive improvements.- Familiarity with relevant engineering and manufacturing systems such as CAD/CAM, Ply Books, Microsoft Office and Power BI.Personal Attributes- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across engineering and manufacturing teams.- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.- Resilient and capable of delivering results under pressure and to demanding deadlines.- A determined and pragmatic approach to continuous improvement.What We Offer You In ReturnAt Alpine F1 Team, you will work alongside some of the leading professionals in F1, directly impacting race‐car performance on a global stage, while benefiting from our state‐of‐the‐art facilities.
