# Senior Structural Analysis Engineer - Non F1Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 TeamUnited KingdomPosted 4 Oct 2026## About this roleThe RoleBrackley, UKA new position has become available for a highly motivated and creative individual to join the Structural Analysis group within the Applied Science department of the Mercedes AMG F1 team.This role will require an inherent aptitude in developing innovative solutions and in actively supporting future design ideas. With a strong technical background in mechanical systems and structural analysis fields, the candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to work pro-actively and in a respectful manner within a group of highly skilled engineers. In addition of being passionate about advanced mechanic and technology, the candidate will have to possess a natural aptitude to lead projects, to push technical boundaries and to work outside of their comfort zone.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Structural Analysis, your responsibilities will include:Structural analysis of highly complex components and assemblies to the highest standardsClose collaboration with the rest of the Applied Science engineering team to ensure fully optimised designs achieving optimal performance and reliabilityContinuous improvement of simulation and analysis methodologies and processesSpecification and documentation of test requests and stress reportsAbout YouAs well as being a passionate, hardworking team player, the ideal candidate will possess:Mechanical engineering degree (2:1 minimum grade) or similar qualification with a good level of experience in automotive, top level motorsport category or an equivalent high level engineering industryThorough understanding of FEA methods is essentialCore knowledge in fatigue, non-linear material behaviour and contact analysis is essentialAbility to perform hand calculation is required and proficiency in Excel/VB or Python would be an advantageHigh interest in making the best from the fast development within the very dynamic digital world is desirableExperience of Catia 3DX design and FEA Hyperworks packagesAmbitious and talented engineer with a desire to advance their personal developmentExcellent communicative and collaborative skills are essentialAbout UsAt the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, every win starts with the energy to exceed our exceptional standards.It’s the belief and focus you give that powers our performance.Whether you’re leading innovation, bringing precision to our manufacturing or supporting trackside operations around the world, every detail matters.We’re setting new standards in our sport, together.
