Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

We're looking for a Senior Paid Search Manager to lead and scale Paddle's search advertising programme. You'll play a critical role in improving the ROI and performance of our paid search campaigns - owning everything from strategy and execution to experimentation and reporting. The focus isn't just on volume; it's on reaching the right types of companies at the right moment, and converting that intent into pipeline and revenue for both our self-serve and sales-led motions. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a rigorous experimentation mindset, and who is excited about using AI to push paid search performance further.

What you'll do:

  • Lead paid search strategy and execution: own end-to-end planning, campaign build, and ongoing optimisation across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, with a sharp focus on reaching and converting the right-fit companies.
  • Scale performance through structured optimisation: manage bid strategies, keyword targeting and audience lists with precision. Continuously improve Quality Scores, CTR, and conversion rates through disciplined, data-led decisions.
  • Run a rigorous experimentation programme: design and execute ongoing A/B tests across ad copy, audience targeting, bidding approaches, and landing pages - building a culture of continuous improvement and scaling what works.
  • Own landing page strategy and testing: partner closely with the Web team to ensure post-click experiences align with ad intent, and lead ongoing conversion rate optimisation experiments to improve downstream performance.
  • Work closely with Sales: regularly assess lead quality in partnership with the Sales team, feeding insights back into campaign targeting and strategy to ensure paid search is consistently attracting the right-fit companies.
  • Align with Organic Search: work closely with the Organic team to share keyword intent signals, align on search presence strategy, and ensure paid and organic are working together to capture and convert demand.
  • Own attribution and reporting: be well-versed in different attribution modelling techniques and apply the right approach to accurately measure and communicate the impact of paid search on leads, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue. Deliver regular, clear stakeholder reports that connect spend to business outcomes.
  • Manage budget with rigour: track and forecast spend, pacing, and efficiency metrics (CPA, ROAS, CPL) across campaigns and markets. Make confident, data-driven recommendations on budget allocation and reallocation.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: monitor platform developments, algorithm changes, and industry shifts - and bring forward-looking recommendations to the team.

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Experienced in managing B2B paid search campaigns at scale, with 6+ years of hands-on Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising management and a track record of driving measurable demand generation and revenue growth.
  • Focused on quality, not just volume - you understand what makes a good-fit customer and build campaigns that attract the right companies, not just the most traffic.
  • Skilled at managing significant budgets efficiently, with experience overseeing $1M+ annual paid search spend and making confident, data-driven allocation decisions.
  • A rigorous experimenter who designs structured tests across copy, targeting, and landing pages, reads results accurately, and knows how to scale what wins.
  • Well-versed in different attribution modelling techniques, with the ability to apply the right model for the right question and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Excited about using AI and automation tools to improve search performance - whether that's smarter bidding, faster copy iteration, or better forecasting.
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working with Sales, Content, PMM, Web, Organic Search, and Growth teams to build campaigns that are coherent, well-targeted, and effective end-to-end.
  • Analytically sharp and commercially minded, able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-moving environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
