The British Canoeing Awarding Body plays a critical role in developing and assuring the highest quality, professional qualifications for the paddlesport industry. We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Awarding Body Committee - no paddling background required!
What difference will you make?
Through this role, you will help to ensure the integrity and impartiality of all BCAB awards and guarantee that the standards of all qualifications remain robust and credible. Your oversight will provide learners with a trusted, world-class qualification while also protecting paddlers by ensuring their instructors, leaders and coaches are safe and competent.
What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with at least three years of professional experience in Governance, specifically in the areas of compliance, oversight, or auditing - such as Lead Auditors or experienced Quality Assurers. Experience in maintaining high standards within a regulated framework would be highly advantageous. No paddling background/knowledge is needed!
What will you be doing?
- Uphold Regulatory Compliance as required by government bodies like Ofqual.
- Strategic Oversight: Review and challenge papers on quality assurance, qualification development, and financial probity.
