Paddle's Self-Serve funnel is our primary distribution engine, representing 80% of our seller base. As we scale top-of-funnel volume rapidly, the challenge is no longer attracting sign-ups — it's identifying and fast-tracking the founders most likely to grow with us. As our dedicated Growth Analyst, you'll be the foundational hire bridging data and marketing to help us find and nurture commercially ready sellers faster.
What you'll do:
- Establish funnel integrity: Build and maintain our core growth data models in Snowflake (via dbt) to establish a 'single source of truth' for the business. You will instrument end-to-end tracking—from the first ad click to the first dollar of revenue—eliminating data silos and ensuring high-fidelity reporting across every stage of the self-serve funnel.
- Track the full journey: Activate data by pushing it from Snowflake into other operational tools. Partner with the Web, Product and Engineering teams to build end-to-end tracking - following a user from their first click on an ad or website, through signup, all the way to their first dollar of revenue.
- Measure experimentation outcomes: Own the data behind our growth experiments. You’ll define what success looks like, track how changes to the product or marketing impact user behaviour, and tell us which tests we should scale.
- Identify Growth Levers: Group sign-ups by intent and behaviour so we can build better onboarding paths for different types of users.
- Audit Marketing ROI: Figure out which acquisition sources (Search, Social, Direct, etc.) bring in the most valuable customers compared to what we spend to get them.
- Forecast Long-Term Growth: Partner with Finance to monitor how our self-serve customers grow over several years to help us accurately predict future revenue and profitability.
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
- A strong analytics engineer with hands‑on experience in SQL, dbt, and Snowflake, and the ability to build reliable data models that teams across marketing and growth can depend on.
- Analytically rigorous and Python‑fluent, with experience designing and evaluating experiments, applying statistical methods, and using tools like Omni, Tableau, or Looker to turn analysis into clear, self‑serve insights.
- Deeply familiar with marketing and PLG funnels — from first ad click to first dollar of revenue — with experience in attribution modelling, user segmentation, and identifying the behavioural signals that predict long‑term seller value.
- Commercially minded and curious, motivated by business outcomes as much as analytical craft — you connect data findings to acquisition cost, revenue impact, and growth levers, and you communicate them in ways that move stakeholders to action.
- Biased toward pragmatic experimentation, proving value with lightweight tests before advocating for larger investments, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast‑moving environment.
