Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payments infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we're a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payments fragmentation. It's faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.
As a Frontend Engineer II on the Retain team, you'll help build the tools that enable software companies to reduce churn and improve customer retention. Our work spans subscription management, dunning and recovery flows, and retention-focused insights that help sellers understand and act on customer behaviour.
You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver intuitive, reliable user experiences. Much of this work lives within Paddle's dashboard, which we're actively rebuilding using Remix, giving you the opportunity to contribute to both new features and our evolving frontend foundations.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain frontend features used by a global network of SaaS sellers
- Deliver well-scoped product work end to end, from implementation through to testing and release
- Contribute to greenfield retention features while improving existing frontend code and patterns
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, pairing on problem-solving and implementation
- Work with Backend Engineers on API integration and data modelling
- Improve usability, performance, and accessibility through small, frequent iterations
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions, learning from and supporting other engineers
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience building production applications with React and TypeScript
- Working knowledge of modern CSS and component-based design systems
- Experience testing frontend applications using React Testing Library / Jest and Playwright
- Experience working in agile, product-led teams
- A good understanding of the development lifecycle, from design through deployment and maintenance
- Exposure to AWS, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines, or a strong interest in learning more about them
