As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist, you’ll play a key role in delivering both residential and commercial projects from inception to completion. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality drawings for planning and building control, conducting site surveys, and liaising with clients and local authorities. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow into a lead design role within a small but ambitious firm.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct residential and commercial site surveys
- Design house extensions, new builds, and commercial fit-outs
- Prepare and submit planning and building control applications
- Produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD LT
- Liaise with clients, planners, and building control officers
- Manage project stages through to final approval
- Travel to sites as required – a car and full UK driving license are required
- Qualified Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) or Architect (RIBA)
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT (2D)
- Strong understanding of standard UK construction techniques
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
