We are looking for an Analyst to join our Data practice and support the successful delivery of transformation across our higher education partners. This role is aimed at someone in the early stages of their career, with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, data quality or related delivery support. It sits at the start of PACT’s Data career path and is ideal for someone with strong potential, hunger to progress, and a proactive approach to self-development.
Pact Solutions is a specialist management and digital transformation consultancy working exclusively with higher education institutions across the UK. We help universities solve complex challenges across strategy, student records, data, change and delivery.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting data analysis across key datasets to identify data quality issues, trends and areas requiring remediation
- Assisting with data readiness and data cleansing activity across transformation programmes
- Contributing to dashboarding and reporting that supports programme oversight and decision-making
- Supporting workshops and stakeholder engagement activity relating to data quality, governance and readiness
- Working alongside project managers, business analysts, technical teams and SMEs to align data activity with wider delivery plans
- Producing clear, structured analysis and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contributing to improved data governance practices and more consistent ways of working
- Supporting the continued development of PACT’s internal data capability, tools and methods
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or data quality-focused role
- Experience using SQL and working with datasets to identify issues, patterns and insights
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, SSRS or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A proactive, collaborative and improvement-oriented approach
It would also be helpful if you have:
- Experience in higher education
- Experience supporting digital transformation or system implementation work
- Experience supporting data cleansing, validation or migration activity
- Exposure to student systems or related platforms
