CNC MillerSalary: £18 £21 per hour, depending on experienceLocation: Luton, BedfordshireWorking pattern: Full-time, permanent 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm, Friday 8am 2pm)About the rolePact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, complex components for the motorsport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As our order book continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled CNC Miller to help us deliver the standards our customers expect.
This suits an experienced CNC Miller, or a capable machinist ready to develop further, who wants to join a stable and well-run machine shop. What you'll be doingProgramming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machinesProducing high-quality components to tight tolerancesReading and interpreting complex engineering drawingsUsing modern inspection equipment to verify part qualityWorking independently and as part of a small, collaborative teamSupporting continuous improvement and maintaining our quality standardsWhat you'll bringExperience programming, setting or operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machinesCompetent CNC programming on HEIDENHAIN controls, or a willingness to trainStrong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawingsUnderstanding of the standards required to produce a high-quality finishConfidence using modern inspection tools and equipmentAble to work with minimal supervision and use your initiativeFork-lift truck experience or certification is an advantage, but not essentialWhat's on offerPermanent, full-time position with an early Friday finishRegular overtime available (non-contractual)Ongoing training and development, including HEIDENHAIN programming20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with serviceWorkplace pension schemeEnhanced sick payFree on-site parking, with Luton rail and bus stations close byA friendly, experienced team where your skills will be valuedReady to apply?
