At Pact, we’re obsessed with incredible coffee. We seek out the world’s best coffee growers - farmers whose skill and dedication produce coffees of rare quality. They deserve more than a fair price: they deserve to see their coffee relished… savoured… talked about. Our role is to honour that work - by roasting with precision, making every step effortless for our customers, and holding ourselves to the same uncompromising standards. We want every cup to reflect the care of the grower, the rigour of our team, and the unmistakable pleasure of coffee at its best.
As a proud B Corp, we’re committed to doing business the right way. That means we’re held to account - for how we trade, how we treat people, and how we treat the land we use.
Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, from working closely with growers to working as a team to improve how we bring quality coffee to our customers. If you share our infectious enthusiasm for exceptional coffee and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
We’re looking for a Coffee (Barista) Trainer to help strengthen our overall B2B offering across hospitality, business and industry. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality coffee training for Pact’s customers. Your goal: to train, coach, and inspire confidence in coffee preparation and service, making sure Pact’s standards are consistently understood and upheld.
You’ll run both individual and group training sessions - at our new London Bridge HQ or on-site with customers, depending on their needs.
Alongside training, you’ll support the rollout, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer coffee equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll also lend a hand at Pact events and activities across all channels, helping us share our mission and expertise more widely.
What you\'ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging, hands‑on barista training - from introductory to advanced levels - for wholesale partners and internal teams.
- Developing and refining Pact’s barista training programme and materials, keeping them fresh, relevant, and true to our standards.
- Running on‑site and virtual training, calibration sessions, and support visits to help partners consistently serve incredible coffee.
- Monitoring coffee quality at partner sites and provide clear, actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Working closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure new partners are onboarded smoothly and confidently.
- Keeping accurate records of training sessions, partner progress, and quality checks to track impact over time.
- Staying up to date with SCA standards, industry best practices, and emerging coffee trends.
- Representing Pact at events, workshops, and trade shows — showcasing our expertise and passion for great coffee.
- Supporting internal coffee education, helping to build and nurture a strong coffee culture across the business.
Who we\'re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Barista Trainer or senior barista with a genuine passion for sharing knowledge and developing others.
- Strong understanding of speciality coffee - from espresso preparation and milk texturing to grinder calibration and equipment care.
- Confident communicator with great presentation skills and the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
- Comfortable travelling and delivering training in different environments - from cafés and offices to events and workshops.
- Highly organised and self‑motivated, with the ability to juggle multiple training programmes and priorities.
- Aligned with Pact’s values - committed to quality, sustainability, and doing business the right way.
Ideal, but not essential:
- SCA certifications.
- Experience working with wholesale coffee partners.
- Familiarity with Pact’s mission and approach to coffee sourcing.
Our Head Office is in London Bridge, and we offer a hybrid, flexible working environment. We have an engaged, collaborative approach to work, a supportive leadership team, and our perks are great.
Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- £35k plus results‑based bonus
- 23 days holiday (increasing annually up to 27 days) plus 3 days extra between Christmas & New Year
- Flexible working core hours (10–4)
