We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in identifying growth opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue in competitive markets. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth trajectory by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across target markets, with a strong focus on Tier 1 enterprise accounts to drive high-value client acquisition.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. This includes proactively hunting for new business and engaging with senior decision-makers across procurement, operations, and leadership.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, prioritising key account management and ensuring continuous value delivery to support long-term growth.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities, enabling the development of targeted sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing our products and services and demonstrating how they meet their business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services, focusing on client satisfaction and efficient post-sale implementation, contributing to overall customer success.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and to keep the company ahead of market developments.
- Utilise our CRM to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics, ensuring consistent and accurate CRM usage. Properly document all sales activity and manage the pipeline effectively. Salesforce experience is a bonus.
- Attend industry events and conferences to promote the company, network with potential clients, and generate new business opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements in a way that maximises revenue while aligning with the company's business goals. Engage comfortably with senior executives and decision-makers across various functions, including procurement and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field desirable.
- A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, particularly with Tier 1 accounts or in large enterprise environments. Experience in packaging, Food & Beverage, FMCG, or manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
