Assignment of a lead person will be assigned on 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd shift to assist the supervisors. All lead person assignments are determined at the discretion of the leadership team at Arlington. Note: The purpose of the lead person position is for future growth of plant leadership positions. If a lead person turns down future leadership role\’s after receiving training and development in the position, it will be the leadership team\’s discretion on whether the employee will remain in that position. Lead Person Description Leader in training and overseeing production team members to ensure consistent safety compliance, product quality and production timelines and goals are met. Lead daily start-up meetings, share safety alerts and daily production information. Understands JSA documents for all machines and be able to train new and existing team members. Monitors individual team members for additional training needs, trouble shooting and problem solving. Ability to meet and exceed set-up and production goals, consistently challenges machine run speeds while working with crews to identify machine limitations on each order Ability to lead a three (3) person team at the machine center which includes hands on coaching and development of the team. Ability to step into the supervisor role and oversee the department when needed. Must be able to train to be a backup to the shift supervisor, and flexible to cover different shifts during vacations Must be consistent on following and enforcing the company policy Understands they are a working lead and may be used in different areas as needed to fill in and operate or assist on a machine Key Characteristics Positive attitude, sense of urgency for meeting required task\’s, great communication skills, shows respect to all team member\’s Team player mindset, focused on improving the team and helping others develop Excellent planning, organizational and multitasking skills. Requirements Leader in safety, understands importance and has the ability to become a strong safety advocate to drive a zero free safety culture. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to fill out production spreadsheets, answer emails, respond and address quality complaints Must be dependable and reliable.
