We are a growing supplier of packaged water treatment equipment and solutions to the UK construction industry.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales Support Coordinator to support our sales process from initial enquiry and tender submission through to order conversion and project handover.
Working alongside another admin assistant, you will play a key role in tracking submitted tenders, following up with contractors after project awards, and helping convert opportunities into secured orders.
This is a hands-on role that combines administration with commercial follow-up and coordination.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, following up opportunities and helping drive sales growth.
Success will come from being organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with contractors and customers.
You will be trusted to organise your own workload, prioritise follow-up activity and take ownership of your pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage tender submissions and monitor project outcomes
- Identify projects where contractors have been awarded work and proactively follow up
- Contact contractors and clients to progress quotations and secure orders
- Support the sales team in converting enquiries into confirmed orders
- Prepare and update quotations and supporting sales documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and internal systems
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure readiness for incoming orders
- Manage communications via email and phone in a timely and professional manner
- Provide general administrative support to the sales function
- Qualify new enquiries before quotation
- Monitor project pipelines and identify new sales opportunities
- Produce weekly sales activity reports
- Assist with tender preparation where required
- Schedule follow-up calls and customer meetings
- Liaise with estimating, engineering and production teams
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in sales administration, sales support or internal sales
- Excellent telephone and email communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritise workload while working remotely
Desirable
- Experience within construction, utilities or engineering
- CRM experience
- Experience following up quotations or tenders
- Knowledge of public sector or contractor procurement
