Role Description
The Mortgage & Protection Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in our Wishaw office. The consultant will provide tailored mortgage and protection advice to clients, assessing their financial circumstances and recommending suitable products. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client meetings, reviewing documentation, managing mortgage applications, and liaising with lenders, insurers, and internal colleagues. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records, and delivering clear, unbiased guidance throughout the home-buying and protection process. The consultant is expected to offer a high standard of customer service and contribute to the firm’s reputation for trusted, professional advice.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and practical experience with Mortgages and Mortgage Lending.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to residential property and personal protection products.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality Customer Service, with a client-focused and empathetic approach.
- Relevant professional qualifications in mortgage advice (e.g., CeMAP or equivalent) or a willingness to obtain them.
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to work accurately, meet deadlines, and comply with regulatory and firm-wide policies.
- Experience within an estate agency, legal, or financial services environment is beneficial.
