Highland Appliance Services is a well-established domestic appliance repair company with over 30 years' experience. We specialise in the repair and maintenance of high-quality household appliances across the Highlands, Skye, Strathspey and Moray. We work with leading manufacturers including AEG, Beko, Neff, Zanussi, Smeg, Siemens and Bosch, and pride ourselves on delivering a fast, reliable and professional service to customers in their homes.
Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Domestic Appliance Engineer to join our field service team.
The Role
- You will be responsible for visiting customers' homes across your allocated area, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs on a wide range of domestic appliances.
- This is a field‑based, independent role where you will manage your own workload, using your technical knowledge to deliver first‑time fixes wherever possible.
- You will be supported with fully planned routes, modern tools and systems, and a strong back‑office team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnosing and repairing domestic appliances in customers' homes
- Working on washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigeration and cookers
- Delivering high levels of customer service at all times
- Working independently to manage your daily schedule efficiently
- Completing accurate job updates using in-house engineer software
- Striving for first‑time fix rates and quality workmanship
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in field‑based white goods / domestic appliance repair
- Strong up-to‑date working knowledge in fault diagnosis and repair of at least 4 of the following: washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigeration, cookers
- Confident fault‑finding and diagnostic ability
- Good communication skills and customer‑focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points)
Desirable (not essential)
- Gas qualifications (CCN1 / CKR1)
