Pacific Support Services is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to work in one of our schools in Welwyn Garden City, AL7. You will be working in a team of cleaning operatives within the school, carrying out general cleaning and supervising the cleaning operatives.
Work times are 3pm - 6pm, Term time and periodical deep cleans during school holidays. Hours per day: 3, Hours per week: 15, Work days: Monday - Friday. Additional hours are available. Starting 13th April 2026.
Purpose of the role
The main purpose is to provide a professional, comprehensive cleaning service for the client site and ensure all facilities are clean and ready to use. As part of our team of key workers you will keep the school safe, clean, and hygienic to ensure that the children who go there have a perfect environment to thrive in.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the school.
- Cleans floors and rooms: dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Cleans restrooms: restocking dispensers, emptying trash, sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Vacuums, empty trash and replace liners.
- Sets up, stocks and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitors and maintains sanitation and organisation of assigned areas.
Requirements
- Must hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Previous cleaning experience (training will be provided if not available).
- Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate preferred but not required; we can apply for a new Enhanced DBS Certification.
- Provide two professional references.
