We are seeking an experienced senior nurse to step into a Lead Clinical Nurse role, providing regional leadership across our Breast Screening Service sites in Canterbury. This pivotal position supports Breastcare Nurses to deliver a well-organised, efficient and women-focused service aligned with Breastscreen Aotearoa NPQS standards. The lead clinical nurse also provides leadership and support to our team of surgical breast Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing leadership and performance management across regional sites
  • Support women through assessment and diagnosis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, surgeons and primary care providers
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with screening standards
  • Champion culturally appropriate care and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
