We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to support and maintain existing cash collection systems and to facilitate the evolution of those systems. You will be required to work independently but also collaborate with the wider team.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Christchurch.

A day in the life of this role could look like:

  • Answer and resolve inquiries from patients, referrers, internal branches, and external organisations.
  • Provide cover and assistance to the Accounts Receivable team as required
  • Review debtors report and accounts receivable balances and take necessary steps to collect overdue balances.
  • Check all patient details held by RHCNZ and update systems as required.
  • Track and resolve outstanding payment issues – debt collection
  • Timely issuance and distribution of invoices
  • Process payment, accounts rendered and debt collection procedures.
  • Provide general departmental support as directed by managers.

Ideally, you’ll have a background in accounts receivable and able to work with processes and have a great attention to detail.

You’ll also bring experience in the following:

  • Methodical approach to all work, combined with accuracy and perseverance
  • 2 to 4 years of experience within a commercial finance function
  • Proven experience working within Company policy and financial processing protocols, invoicing, and debt recovery
  • Ability to work autonomously, yet maintain a small team orientation and morale
  • A basic understanding of X-ray and scan types relevant to the human anatomy and clinical procedures
  • Identity analyse and investigate anomalies to ensure accurate invoicing and debt recovery actions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy with accurate word-processing skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programmes in particular Excel with intermediate skill (navigation, pivots, v-lookups etc)
  • Ability to solve problems, plan and prioritise
