Job Title VP S&R and Investments Job Description The Role As the VP S&R and Investments, you\’ll play a key role in Pacific Life\’s growth and long-term success by overseeing the implementation of risk management policies and standards within PL Re. You will be responsible for implementing the Risk Management Framework across the Savings and Retirement line of business and leading engagement across the non-US legal entities on Investment Risk. Description Develop, manage, and own risk management framework elements related to the Savings and Retirement (S&R) business. Utilize industry best practices to quantify risk and aggregate exposures. Monitor against key risk limits. Support the execution of the division\’s strategy and key initiatives as a member of the S&R ExCo. Provide expert advice and support to division leadership and senior managers on risk-related matters. Coordinate with other experts across the enterprise as needed. Set the tone for an appropriate ethical and risk culture by demonstrating proper behaviors in decision-making. Monitor the evolution of the division\’s risk profile and ensure alignment with PL\’s risk appetite and limits. Conduct risk reviews and oversee major transactions and projects. Collaborate with other teams to ensure S&R strategies align with the company\’s overall risk management framework. Support the PL Re CRO on strategic investment and risk initiatives. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members. Contribute to process improvements, methodologies, and knowledge to enhance the risk management framework\’s maturity. Document updates to risk policies and limits. Qualifications & Experience Qualified Actuary 10+ years\’ experience in longevity and annuity risk management, pricing, or reporting Familiar with Economic Capital Frameworks and Bermuda Capital Requirements Experience with large-scale, complex reinsurance deals Ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty effectively Strategic agility and future-oriented thinking Developing talent and leadership skills Strong organizational awareness and adaptability Working for Pacific Life Re We value the unique qualities each individual brings and support their growth and ambitions.
