We are currently partnered with a world leader in the Process Industry, to help them find an Operations Director for their manufacturing site in Leicestershire County. They operate across multiple sectors with a big emphasis on sustainability. This site is going through an exciting transformation, and they are looking for an experienced Operations Director to be the leader at this key location, driving the day to day and optimising performance for the future.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Operations Director who has been working in a process industry manufacturing site and has driven change in a complex environment. The candidate needs to be a leader who can bring teams together and foster a collaborative culture, while implanting a continuous improvement mindset and processes. This person will need to be an agile decision maker who can make effective decisions that align with organisational priorities while ensuring continued performance at all levels of the plant. The right candidate will be able to mix the day-to-day operations with a big picture outlook, so being able to combine an understanding of the shop floor with strategic goals is key.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Operations Director/Site Manager on a manufacturing site
  • Ability to drive performance across functions
  • Ability to drive change while maintaining employee engagement
  • Previous continuous improvement experience is a plus
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or a related field is a plus
