Due to growth of an ongoing programme of work, we are recruiting a number of Programme Support professionals to join our existing team. The Programme Support team ensures the success of one of our key customers, a newly‐formed scientific research funding agency, based in Central London.

The Programme Support Associate plays a critical role in the launch and delivery of a number of R&D science and technology programmes for our client, pushing the boundaries of what is scientifically possible. The position provides essential administrative, logistical, and operational support to Programme Specialists across the full lifecycle of their programmes. This includes supporting newly appointed Programme Directors with their initial concept and planning phase through to the launch and delivery of multi‐million‐pound programmes, lasting up to 5 years.

Guided by the Programme Specialist, the Programme Support's primary objective is to de‐bottleneck delivery and unlock success for the Programme Directors and operational teams. This role transforms challenging circumstances into opportunities by supporting seamless, continuous programme management and operational excellence.

We are seeking a proactive individual with a dynamic "can‐do" attitude and a resourceful mindset, able to demonstrate inventiveness in finding effective ways to support the Programme Specialist and drive success for Programme Directors.

Accountabilities of the Programme Support team:

  • Acting as the programme ambassador, maintaining internal and external programme communications, managing stakeholder mapping and serving as the primary interface for R&D/Creator communities by directing inquiries and tracking follow‐up.
  • Coordinate initial discovery phases and ecosystem building for Programme Directors.
  • Manage programme events and workshops.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive, centralised repository for all programme documentation.
  • Updating and maintaining risk registers.
  • Management of programme timelines.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the programme and operational teams supporting with financial and procurement administration for the programmes.
  • Actively identify opportunities to optimise processes, standardise best practices, share learnings, and drive continuous improvement across all programme teams.
  • Proactively coordinate projects, supporting progress and financial reporting for teams.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact across a broad range of subject areas.

Required capabilities and experience:

  • Focussed on Delivery: An ability to demonstrate a high degree of competency in project/programme support, with similar experience in a client‐facing position, as well as experience working in fast‐paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong Multitasker: Demonstrates the ability to manage and prioritise multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast‐paced environment, pivoting quickly with an agile approach.
  • Confident Communicator: Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with a diverse range of internal and external teams.
  • Proactive Ownership: Possesses a curious mindset, takes full ownership of tasks, and actively seeks efficient, innovative ways to optimise programme processes.
