Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Junior Office Administrator to join our team supporting railway projects.
This is an entry-level position suited to someone who is organised, eager to learn, and confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the office and project teams.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
- Input, update, and maintain data using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and documents as required.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Scan, print, copy, and file project documentation.
- Assist with document control and ensure records are up to date.
- Schedule meetings and maintain office calendars where required.
- Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties and other tasks as required.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the business.
Desirable
- Previous office administration experience (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working in a construction, engineering, or railway environment is beneficial but not required.
