We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale business transformation projects, focused on optimising the operations functions of an international law firm. The successful candidate will own the delivery of numerous workstreams within the programme, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives. Please note that this is an urgent requirement and we will prioritise applications with immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Leadership: Plan, manage, and deliver projects, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring buy-in across global teams.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring all activities comply with legal, regulatory, and data protection requirements in various jurisdictions.
- Process Optimisation: Collaborate with business function leaders to map current processes, identify improvements, and manage transition periods with minimal disruption.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Systems Integration and Security: Ensure seamless integration of offshore processes with existing IT systems while addressing data security and cybersecurity risks.
Who You Are
We are looking for exceptional skills in the following areas:
- Project / Programme Management expertise: Extensive experience in managing large-scale, complex business transformation programmes from start to finish; your project management experience and approach will be tested during the interview process.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including executives and global teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
- Process Optimisation: Expertise in analysing, mapping, and improving business processes (particularly in functional areas such as finance, marketing, procurement, and HR) is desired.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Proficiency in negotiating and managing vendor relationships, including drafting and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure delivery excellence.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams, both onshore and offshore, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Legal Industry Experience: Due to the complex organisational nature of global law firms, legal industry experience would be beneficial, though other similar industries (i.e. professional services, financial services) will also be considered.
