Opportunities: As one of our IT Project Managers working within the End User Technology/Device Modernisation Programme within a global law firm, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the upgrade of End User devices to Windows 11 ahead of the Windows 10 end‑of‑life deadline in October. The role ensures a controlled, low‑disruption rollout across the firm, maintaining business continuity while meeting security, compliance and technology standards.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining the Windows 11 upgrade delivery plan aligned to device lifecycle and business priorities
- Leading end‑to‑end project management of the Windows 11 upgrade including testing, rollout and stabilisation
- Coordinating device readiness activities including hardware compatibility and application readiness
- Working closely with IT Infrastructure, End User Computing, Security and Service Desk teams
- Engaging business stakeholders on deployment schedules and impacts
- Acting as the central coordination point between IT teams and the business
- Identifying and mitigating delivery risks including application compatibility and capacity constraints
- Coordinating pilot groups and testing activity
- Managing go‑live and hyper‑care support
- Supporting change and communications to prepare users for the upgrade
- Coordinating user guidance and support materials
- Ensuring effective escalation paths for user issues
- Maintaining plans, RAID logs and reporting
- Providing clear status updates to IT leadership
- Escalating risks and issues appropriately
Essential experience:
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement experience
- Legal industry or financial/professional services experience
- Relevant program/project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
