The predicted salary is between 51750 - 63250 Β£ per year.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the software architecture for a range of software products and software elements of multi-disciplinary products, mentoring more junior software engineers, and introducing key software working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and define the architecture of software products and elements including the following in conjunction with the wider engineering team:
    • Embedded software for a range of real-time applications
    • Front-end GUIs and HMIs on desktop
    • Back-end data storage and processing
  • Definition of interfaces between software elements (APIs) and over communications interfaces (protocols)
  • Eliciting and recording requirements in conjunction with the wider engineering and market teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven software authoring and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing complex software for both desktop and embedded platforms

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience in fast-paced R&D or startup environments, with rapid prototype iteration times
