Student Accommodation Projects (refurbs & some build) - Working for one of the UK's most sustainably growing contractors. Overseeing 2-4 projects at a time.
Work Autonomously: You will be treated like an adult (2/3 days WFH, 1/2 days travelling around sites, predominately London to Birmingham regions, but can be UK).
Salary & Package: c.(£65,000 - £70,000) + Car Allowance (£5,000) + Private Healthcare + Excellent Package + 10% Bonus Scheme + Travel expenses & petrol mileage + Fantastic Progression within a company with solid clients & sheltered from economic downturns.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Valid UK driving license
- Fully IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
- CDM knowledge and experience writing Construction Phase Plans (CPP)
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Capable of surveying, scoping, specifying, estimating, procuring, and coordinating
- Able to manage work streams independently and prepare detailed reports
- Willing and able to travel at short notice
- Solid understanding of construction processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend improvements to existing systems or procedures
- Provide mentoring, training, and support to team members
- Allocate, distribute, and action technical information
- Chair internal pre-start and mobilisation meetings
- Oversee daily contract management and project execution
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Work closely with the Project Director and Operations Director
- Prepare both internal and external progress reports
- Conduct external pre-contract meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Develop Health & Safety plans in collaboration with the H&S Advisor
- Monitor and control project budgets and costs
- Ensure sufficient pre-construction planning including method statements and contract programmes
- Maintain tracking systems to monitor the progress of actions
- Lead site teams to deliver projects effectively, efficiently, and compliantly
