A fantastic opportunity to join a real people orientated business who are looking for a Design Manager to join their team. Based in East London, the Design Manager will be working in a team of 3 on drywall and ceiling projects alongside top tier main contractors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the project CAD requirements, including the production of working layouts, sections, elevations, and details.
  • Setting up of design office standards and user technologies, interfacing with CAD libraries and menu groups.
  • Enabling construction solutions through product selection.
  • Enabling auto scheduling functions for manufacturing and order processing.
  • Supply technical support for all CAD software.

Skills and requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and skills using AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of BG drywall systems and current Building Safety Act legislative requirements.
  • The ability to provide CAD/BIM/3D drawings and designs, for partitioning projects.
  • Strong technical ability, and knowledge of dry lining, partitioning, and suspended ceiling systems.
  • Confidence in leading the project design.
  • Skilled in the preparation of reports, designs, contracts, and specification documents.
  • The ability to review technical designs, to ensure projects are kept on programme.
  • An organised and tidy approach to work, and able to adapt to the construction programme.
